Your privacy and protecting your data are very important to us and we are extremely careful with it. This Statement of Privacy governs data collection and usage. This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms of Use, and our technical architecture (https://analysisplace.com/Resources/How-it-Works) provide an explanation about what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you, why we collect it, and how we store it. This privacy policy applies to the Excel-to-Word Document Automation Add-In, AnalysisPlace document automation APIs, the AnalysisPlace.com website, and other AnalysisPlace services.
AnalysisPlace is privately funded and managed by Hall Consulting & Research (“HCR”).
COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
AnalysisPlace collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, and company name when you use our services. AnalysisPlace also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your country and browser language. Our systems also automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, referring website addresses, operating system version data, and Microsoft Office identification and version data. This information is used by AnalysisPlace for the operation of the applications and website, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide statistics regarding the use of AnalysisPlace services.
AnalysisPlace follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for all such data. If there is any conflict between the policies, this privacy policy shall govern.
USE OF USER SUBMITTED INFORMATION
The Add-in allows the user to update/create Word and PowerPoint content (text, tables, and charts) based on Excel data and calculations. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold on that content. By using the AnalysisPlace website and/or Add-in, you grant AnalysisPlace, a license to use your information to enable the functionality of the Applications.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
AnalysisPlace collects and uses your personal information to operate the AnalysisPlace website and deliver the services you have requested. AnalysisPlace may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of updates and new services that may be offered by AnalysisPlace.
AnalysisPlace does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists (or any customer data) to third parties. AnalysisPlace may share data with trusted partners to help us send you email or provide customer support. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to AnalysisPlace, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
AnalysisPlace does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your written consent.
AnalysisPlace may track the websites and app features our customers visit/use, to determine what AnalysisPlace content/features are most popular and to improve our services.
COMPELLED DISCLOSURE
AnalysisPlace will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal or regulatory requirements or comply with legal process served on AnalysisPlace or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of AnalysisPlace; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of AnalysisPlace, or the public.

AnalysisPlace may provide links to third-party tools for your convenience and information. These third-party tools may have their own privacy policies. AnalysisPlace is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the AnalysisPlace website and AnalysisPlace application/services.

The AnalysisPlace website and applications gather information about your use by using cookies. Where used, these cookies are downloaded to your computer automatically. Third-party content (e.g. YouTube) provided on our website may also use cookies, over which AnalysisPlace has no control.
Our add-in does not use third-party cookies.
SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
AnalysisPlace may transfer your personal information and submitted Add-in content that AnalysisPlace collects from you to our Microsoft Azure servers for processing and storing. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing, or processing. AnalysisPlace will take reasonable steps to protect the security of your data.
To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a password and user ID, before granting access to your data. You have the responsibility to protect your credentials from unauthorized disclosure. Authorization credentials are granted to an individual user and may not be shared between users. AnalysisPlace reserves the right to deny service or revoke authorization credentials of users who misuse or fail to protect their authorization credentials. AnalysisPlace accepts no liability for any damages resulting from unauthorized access due to a user’s failure to protect authorization credentials.
When your data or personal information is transmitted over the internet, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
While you can terminate your account at any time, your information may remain stored in archive on our servers even after the deletion or termination of your account. However, we will not sell, transfer, or use the information relating to the terminated account of an individual in any way.
The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore AnalysisPlace cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
AnalysisPlace uses your Personal Information in connection with the operation, development, and improvement of AnalysisPlace, the operation and billing of your account, logging into your account, sending newsletters, and for other uses consistent with this Policy and the table above. We may also contact you regarding updates to our services and administrative messages (such as temporary outages or permanent changes.)
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, or as required by law, contract, or for our legitimate interests. The table above summarizes the data retention periods by type of data. We regularly review our retention policies and procedures to ensure that we do not keep your data longer than necessary. When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymize it. Your information may remain temporarily stored in secure archives in Azure up to 2 months due to Azure’s default backup policies even after the deletion of your data.
HOW DO I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?
You may contact us any time to request account deletion. While you can terminate your account at any time, your information may remain temporarily stored in secure archives in Azure up to 2 months due to Azure’s default backup policies even after the deletion or termination of your account. Your email, display name, and recent usage statistics are not deleted to reduce fraud and to comply with legal obligations.
HOW CAN I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM NEWSLETTERS?
You may unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe function in any newsletter email. You may not opt-out of receiving administrative messages or customer service responses unless you delete your account.
EUROPEAN UNION GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)
When using our website and submitting personal data to us, you may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other similar laws. When you are using our website, you are considered the Data Subject – a natural person whose personal data is processed by a controller or processor, and AnalysisPlace is considered the Data Controller – the entity that determines the purposes, conditions, and means of the processing of personal data.

- The right to object to the processing of your data. You can object to our use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, or for any other purpose that is based on our legitimate interests, unless we have a compelling reason to continue.

- The right to withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal.
