This privacy policy applies to the AnalysisPlace.com website, the Excel-to-Word Document Automation Add-In, and other AnalysisPlace services.

AnalysisPlace is privately funded and managed by Hall Consulting & Research (“HCR”).

Your privacy and protecting your data are very important to us and we are extremely careful with it. This Statement of Privacy governs data collection and usage. This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms of Use, our AnalysisPlace Customer Data Security Policy (https://analysisplace.com/Resources/Data-Security), and our technical architecture (https://analysisplace.com/Resources/How-it-Works) provide an explanation about what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you and why we collect it. By using the AnalysisPlace.com website and/or AnalysisPlace services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Analysisplace collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, and company name when you register on our website and/or use our services. AnalysisPlace also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your country and browser language. Our systems also automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, referring website addresses, operating system version data, and Microsoft Office identification and version data. This information is used by AnalysisPlace for the operation of the applications and website, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide statistics regarding the use of the AnalysisPlace.com website.

AnalysisPlace follows the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Privacy Principles published by the U.S. Department of Commerce (the “Principles”) with respect to all such data. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and the Principles, this privacy policy shall govern. 

USE OF USER SUBMITTED INFORMATION

The Add-in allows the user to update/create Word and PowerPoint content (text, tables, and charts) based on Excel data and calculations. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold on that content. By using the AnalysisPlace website and/or Add-in, you grant AnalysisPlace, including its affiliates and subcontractors, a license to use your information to enable the functionality of the Applications.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

AnalysisPlace collects and uses your personal information to operate the AnalysisPlace website and deliver the services you have requested. AnalysisPlace may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from AnalysisPlace and its affiliates. AnalysisPlace may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

AnalysisPlace does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties, except as provided in this Privacy Policy. AnalysisPlace may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, or provide customer support. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to AnalysisPlace, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

AnalysisPlace does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your written consent.

AnalysisPlace may track the websites and pages our customers visit within AnalysisPlace, in order to determine what AnalysisPlace content is the most popular.

AnalysisPlace will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal or regulatory requirements or comply with legal process served on AnalysisPlace or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of AnalysisPlace; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of AnalysisPlace, or the public.

AnalysisPlace may provide links to third-party tools for your convenience and information. These third-party tools may have their own privacy policies. AnalysisPlace is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the AnalysisPlace website and AnalysisPlace application/services.

USE OF COOKIES

The AnalysisPlace website and applications gather information about your use by using cookies. Where used, these cookies are downloaded to your computer automatically. Third party links provided on our website may also use cookies, over which AnalysisPlace has no control.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

AnalysisPlace may transfer your personal information and submitted Add-in content that AnalysisPlace collects from you to our main server for processing and storing. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. AnalysisPlace will take reasonable steps to protect the security of your data in accordance with the AnalysisPlace Customer Data Security Policy (https://analysisplace.com/Resources/Data-Security) and with this Privacy Policy.

To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a password and user ID, before granting access to your data. You have the responsibility to protect your user ID and password from unauthorized disclosure. Authorization credentials are granted to an individual user and may not be shared between users. AnalysisPlace reserves the right to deny service or revoke authorization credentials of users who misuse or fail to protect their authorization credentials.  AnalysisPlace accepts no liability for any damages resulting from unauthorized access due to a user’s failure to protect authorization credentials.

When your data or personal information is transmitted over the internet, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

While you can terminate your account at any time, your information may remain stored in archive on our servers even after the deletion or termination of your account. However, we will not sell, transfer, or use the information relating to the terminated account of an individual in any way.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore AnalysisPlace cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.

EUROPEAN UNION GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

When using our website and submitting personal data to us, you may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other laws. When you are using our website, you are considered the Data Subject – a natural person whose personal data is processed by a controller or processor and AnalysisPlace is consider the Data Controller – the entity that determines the purposes, conditions, and means of the processing of personal data.

AnalysisPlace uses your Personal Information in connection with the operation, development and improvement of AnalysisPlace, the operation and billing of your account, logging into your account, sending newsletters and for other uses consistent with this Policy. We may also contact you regarding updates to our services and administrative messages (such as temporary outages or permanent changes.)

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOU PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We will retain personal information we collect from you where we have a justifiable business need to do so and/or for as long as is needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, legal, accounting or other purposes). You can request deletion of your personal information at any time.  

HOW DO I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?

When you are logged into your AnalysisPlace, under account settings you may unregister your account. While you can terminate your account at any time, your information may remain temporarily stored in archive on our servers even after the deletion or termination of your account.

HOW CAN I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM NEWSLETTERS?

You may unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe function in any newsletter email. You may not opt out of receiving administrative messages or customer service responses, unless you delete your account.

HOW DOES ANALYSISPLACE HANDLE GDPR COMPLAINTS?

We are committed to resolve any complaints about our collection or use of your personal data. If you would like to make a complaint regarding this Privacy Policy or our practices in relation to your personal data, please contact us at https://analysisplace.com/Contact-Us. We will reply to your complaint as soon as we can and in any event, within 45 days. We hope to resolve any complaint brought to our attention, however if you feel that your complaint has not been adequately resolved, you reserve the right to contact your local data protection supervisory authority.

AnalysisPlace will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. We may notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our web pages. However, AnalysisPlace encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how AnalysisPlace is protecting your information.
